Dark syrup has more character and fuller flavor caramel flavor and is darker in color than the Light syrup. The Dark Syrup is suitable for both gingerbread and chocolate fudge as beans, cabbage rolls and other dishes.
Syrup helps bread to rise, gives a nice baking / crust on the bread. It makes the bread richer, juicier and keeps it fresh longer.
Syrup is produced in different grades for different colors and tastes, where each grade is suited to its particular use. Syrup as product is especially useful for baking, but is also used for confectionery and cooking.
